Are you a skilled audio-visual system design architect? Do you have experience in testing and deploying different audio-visual installations for auditoriums and conference rooms? Have you coordinated and managed the works of the external contractors (audio-visual technicians) performing room installations and refurbishments?
Join the Fabric (IT-FA) group in charge of planning, deployment, operation, and maintenance of a modern and high-end hybrid conference infrastructure consisting of nearly 200 meeting rooms and auditoriums used every day by thousands of people at the worldโs largest particle physics laboratory: CERN, take part!
Functions
As co-manager and technical responsible for CERN's conference room service, you will:
Establish and maintain a master plan for the refurbishment of meeting rooms and auditoriums by providing up-to-date information on the rooms and examining in particular equipment selection, installation design and commercial offers. Ensure that conference and meeting room equipment is standardized (projectors, LCD screens, video/audio conferencing facilities, sound systems, interpretation systems, etc.) including programming and updating equipment controllers. Coordinate the maintenance and operation of conference and meeting rooms (ordering equipment, preparing rooms, programming equipment controllers, providing technical support to users, monitoring the support team). Oversee the proper management of audiovisual requests for special events, such as VIPs, by managing the installation of temporary mobile sound and projection systems. Manage site visits for the AV contractor, and liaise with webcast, recording and videoconferencing services.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of audio visual systems or a related field.
Experience:
Experience with AV Control systems development platforms and design tools such as Extron, Crestron and AutoCAD.Experience with the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking.Demonstrated experience in planning, designing, and installing conference room facilities.Experience supervising contractors.Experience advising clients and providing technical support.Technical competencies:
