Contribute to maintaining the SESAR performance framework, including the methodology for consolidation of performance assessments, by revisiting key performance indicators and developing new key performance areas as needed for various ATM modernisation initiatives such U-Space and digitalisation of ATM. Support various SESAR R&D projects in applying the SESAR performance framework, explaining performance framework concepts, metrics, fast-time simulations, validation concepts, etc. Contribute to the maturity assessments of SESAR R&I solutions by verifying the availability and quality of relevant performance related outputs. Contribute to the European ATM Master Plan maintenance activity by analysing the impact of different deployment scenarios on network-wide performance. Perform ad-hoc ATM performance related strategic analyses and report on specific topics as needed. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

Completed university studies of four years (e.g. Masterโ€™s degree) in a relevant area (e.g. Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics). A minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ relevant professional experience to perform the advertised responsibilities. Experience in performing ATM performance assessments. Experience in performance management and data analysis related to European ATM. Experience in statistical data analysis (e.g. modelling, reporting). Experience in the use of statistical and data visualisation tools. The following would be an advantage: Experience in applying the SESAR performance framework and performance assessment. Understanding of relevant ATM operational concepts and SESAR Solutions. Experience in preparing, conducting and analysing complex fast-time simulations. Experience in CBAs and economics (Technical) drafting skills in English. Effective presentation skills. Ability to present/communicate technical information to diverse audiences, including technical experts, (senior) managers, stakeholders, etc. Problem Solving: You anticipate and solve business problems. Customer Focus: You adapt services to respond to customer needs. Teamwork: You foster teamwork. Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1. The selected candidate will be required to become a basic user of French at level A2 before the end of the probation period.
The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 5 Year(s) and it may be renewed up to a maximum of 9 years or converted into an undetermined contract pursuant to the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. Before being established in the post, he/she will be requested to provide certified copies of his/her degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months. The successful candidate shall be engaged in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades.
