The post is located in the Operations Service of The Hague Registry, Brands and Designs Sector. The Operations Service is responsible for receiving, processing and registering international design applications and other transactions related to the administration of the various Acts of the Hague Agreement.

b.ย ย ย Purpose Statement
ย
The incumbent, as Associate Quality Control and Training Officer will contribute to the development and maintenance of the Hague Quality Management Framework and the Hague Training Management Framework with a view to facilitating their sustainability, supervising their implementation and assessing their outcome. The role of the Associate Quality Control and Training Officer is to assist the Head of the Operations Service with quality control and training activities.

2.ย ย ย ย Duties and Responsibilities
ย
The incumbent will perform the following principal duties:
ย
a.ย ย ย ย ย Perform quality control of international industrial design examination and the review of compliance with established legal and quality standards;ย
b.ย ย ย ย ย Collect and document quality metrics at the individual and team level, and produce statistical reports for the Head of Service;ย
c.ย ย ย ย ย Provide preliminary analysis of examiner production to identify potential knowledge and skill gaps, and make recommendations to the Head of Service on appropriate corrective or preventive measures;ย
d.ย ย ย ย ย Provide assistance in developing training activities, plans and materials for examiners, staff of the Hague Registry, and external stakeholders such as Offices, users, and industry associations by providing guidance and inputs;ย
e.ย ย ย ย ย Participate in consultation and communication mechanisms with Offices, users, and industry associations;ย
f.ย ย ย ย ย ย Liaise and coordinate with all units of the Hague Registry, including Legal Division, Information and Promotion Division, and Information Systems Division in the execution of quality and training activities; andย
g.ย ย ย ย ย Perform other related tasks as required.

ย
Education (Essential)
First-level university degree in law, business administration, management or other related field.
ย
Experience (Essential)
At least three years of relevant professional experience, in providing quality control and training in a customer service or production environment.
ย
Experience (Desirable)
Experience in industrial design examination, in an Intellectual Property Office or comparable organization.
ย
Language (Essential)
Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English.
ย
Language (Desirable)
Good knowledge of official United Nations languages or of languages of major user countries of the Hague System.

Annual salary:
Total annual salary consists of a net annual salary (net of taxes and before medical insurance and pension fund deductions) in US dollars and a post adjustment.ย
