To develop an integrated mental healthcare ecosystem that will take a life course approach for the prevention of Mental Health Disorders in children, adolescents and young adults. This study will be conducted at Bangladesh Medical University. This project involves identification of biomarkers at high risk infants and toddlers that can predict future Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, identification of personal environmental markers responsible for anxiety and depression.
Position description:
The Assistant Programmer will report to the Principal Investigator (PI) and will be responsible for developing software applications and performing development work such as coding, testing, debugging, updating and maintaining software applications, writing database scripts and providing software support to the project staff. Coordinate with investigators to understand the requirements/data needs; Collaborate with teams to understand the quantity of data required and the process flow of the project; Develop mobile applications in the Android platform; Develop Web Application; Develop online dashboard to visualize data; Develop online survey questionnaire; Frequently data checking; Develop codes for programming internal software applications as per directions of Analyst Programmer; Provide suggestions on new technologies to decrease program development time to support the development of programs for effective execution of the projects; Install the developed program on Smartphone / Android Device for testing purposes; Conduct trial tests to check for program robustness of other programmers and check for accuracy; Correct errors found in order to develop error-free programs; Provide continuous support for user queries in the field. Required qualification and experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering from a reputed university. At least 1-year experience in a relevant field; Must have knowledge in developing web-based applications and dashboard; developing application in Android platform, ASP.NET, C sharp, JAVAscript language, React native, Android Studio; Strong knowledge on SQLite, SQL database; Must have knowledge in handling unstructured database, extract data in .csv format and storage. Contract Type and Duration: Contractual service agreement (CSA) basis for 11 months with a possibility of extension subject o availability of fund and performance. Salary & benefits: Tk.62,895/-per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances; Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
