Role and responsibilitiesThe purpose of the Support Coordinator is to coordinate and manage the support functions at the Area Officeand off load the Area Manager on support functions
Generic responsibilities
Line management of Finance, HR & Admin and Logisticsstaff Member of the Area Management Group Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and handbooks and donor/auditor requirements Provide input on operational support to Area Plan of Action, and to coordinate and alignoperational support with programme plans at Area level Responsible for ensuringquality support to project implementation. Facilitate Area Support Budget, area level budgets, including support costs Responsible for Implementation of new country specific technical SOPs, guidelines and tools in Area (HR, Logistic/ICT and Finance) Responsible for capacity buildingof support staff (HR, Logistic and Finance) Promote the rightsof IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy Actively promote PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served byNRC.Specific responsibilities
Accountable for the day to day operations of HR, Admin, Finance and Logistics units at the Area Office,managing the day-to-day supporttasks Minimum bi-monthly documented 1:1s with direct reports. Responsible for Work and Development plan (WDP)of all direct reports. Provide input to Country Office for improvements/updates to existing policies and procedures, and recommendations for new guidelines and SOPs Support HR in recruitment and training of support staff and ensure all new staff at the Area Office undergo an induction Support HR to ensure area staff have access to the NRC People system and Kaya platform for mandatorytraining. Follow up with all Area Line Managers to ensure WDPs are completed Provide operational support to project implementation, and oversee the supply chain to ensure project materials and goods are procured and supplied in a timely manner, following up daily and processing procurements when needed. Participate in committees as required. Accountable for shared costs expenditures are in line with theArea Master Budget Support to programme and finance teams to preparefor audits Ensure that monthly reports from support departments are of required quality and submitted in a timely manner Support in the development of SRA and adherence to the HSS policies in the area in close collaboration with the HSS staff Ensure that all NRC premises in the area are equipped and secured according to NRCs policies and standards Promote a positive, safe and inclusive work environment for all Area Office staff, including through effective staff feedbackmechanisms Represent NRC in relevantmeetings and forumsin Area when required Support in monitoring and identifying compliance risks areas and mitigation measures, including spot checks, field visits and in depth reviews of documents and processes. Ensure regular communication is maintained between the different departments and act as a mediator when necessary. Schedule weekly Area Support Meetings with all Area Support staff, prepare periodic progress reportsfor senior management highlighting relevant operational issues, and providesolutions.
