What we are looking for

NRC is looking for an Area Programme Manager to join the Myanmar mission. The role holder will be responsible for NRCโ€™s programmatic and advocacy response, as well as project implementation North-East Myanmar. This position will make a significant contribution to NRC Myanmarโ€™s role as a pilot country for NRCโ€™s global initiative for Integrated Programming. Additionally, this role will ensure NRC Myanmarโ€™s objective of prioritising hard-to-reach populations and contributes towards pathways to adapt programming to North-East Myanmarโ€™s volatile context after the armed conflict escalated in October 2023.ย

What you will do

Project cycle management (60%):ย proposal development, budget management, reporting, integrated programming, monitoring and evaluation, etc. Partnerships (20%): engagement and management (partner assessment, regular partner meetings, overseeing partner reporting, etc.). Coordination (10%):ย participation of programmes teams in coordination fora (clusters, working groups, local networks, etc.).ย  Area strategic plans (10%): programme components, and preparation of the Area Office strategic plans Strategy, and Annexes.

What you will bring

Managementย experience in a humanitarian/recovery context. Shelter, Education, Legal Assistance, and/or Protectionย work experience. Integrated programming proficiency. Complex, and volatile context exposure. Myanmar contextย exposure and knowledge. English fluency, both written and verbal.
