Context

NRC Mali was established in 2013 and is currently implementing RRM, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods, Shelter and Wash, Protection, Humanitarian Mediation, and Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) projects in the central and northern provinces of the country. NRC Mali is now promoting the integrated programme approach thatย aims at providing a holistic response to affected people in order to maximize the impact of our intervention. This approach requires a strong and close coordination capacity and technical support to core competencies, enable communication and synergies between sectors to meet the expected quality of program implementation.ย 

NRC Mali has built a strong MEL system in all offices and feedback mechanism is being expanded in all areas of intervention. However, the country program still needs to make further progress and uses information generated from both MEL system and CFM to inform decisions pertinent to program quality and overall program management.

What you will do:

The Areaย Programmeย Managerย (APM) is responsible for overseeing the implementation ofย programmes in theirย areaย of operationย and represents NRC at program coordination forums, as delegated by the Area Manager. This position is a member of theย Areaย Managementย Group and Countryย Managementย Group. As such, the APM is under the Areaย Managerโ€™s lineย management, but has a technical (dotted) reporting line to the Head ofย Programme.

In collaboration with the CC responsible (PDM, PM and PC), propose combined weekly planning to the AM Responsible for organizing PCM (GOM, GRM and GCM) Meetings for multiple and unique key competency projects at area level. Responsible for program implementation with high quality and cost-effectiveness ratio targeting beneficiaries most in need of protection - value for money Provide support to programme staffs during monthly budget monitoring and updates in GORS and provide a report to the AM Review project proposals and reports for the area before submitting them to the area manager Regular site visits for the implementation of projects Ensure that NRC resources are used in accordance with humanitarian principles in the area Ensure compliance with contractual commitments, while taking into account key lessons learnt from the implementation of projects in the area Contribute toย capacity building of all programme technical staff Promote innovation and learning at area level Contribute to the development of the area of โ€‹โ€‹intervention and the development ofย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Core Competence strategies, initiate and participate in the relevant development of Key Competence projects Ensure the participation, the contribution of the Support Skills to the development and the implementation of the project Provide regular reports on project progress to Area Manager. Provide regular updates to feed communication and advocacy sitreps and messages. Responsible for performance evaluation of supervised staff.
