Job Summary:
This role will support Out-of-School Youth facing different barriers (low-income, English Language Learners, Foster Care etc.) prepare and access apprenticeship opportunities. The Apprenticeship Instructor and Case Manager will work closely with Apprenticeship partners, design apprenticeship preparation curricula, lead classes aiming at building the necessary vocabulary and soft skills, engage with employer partners for post-apprenticeship job placement and provide case management and follow up services throughout the program enrollment period. The role will report to the Employer Engagement Supervisor and will be seated in the Economic Empowerment department.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Conduct participant outreach, pre-screen internal and external referrals and conduct initial client assessments. Perform comprehensive assessment on each participant, provide career counseling, identify barriers, assess program suitability and develop and follow up on the individualized service plans with each client. Collaborate with apprenticeship partners, co-tailor training curricula and create feedback channels for further curricula improvement. Deliver classes, using interactive, learner-centered activities and strategies, to prepare participants for the apprenticeships, meet participants in a 1:1 setting as needed and communicate any progress or updates with apprenticeship partners. Document attendance and student progress and administer clientsโ pre-and post-tests. Closely work with apprenticeship partners on the apprenticeship application and admission processes. Provide case management, connection to supportive services and external resources throughout the program enrollment period. Collaborate with the wider Employer Engagement and apprenticeship partners on job shadowing opportunities, post-apprenticeship job placement and employer partnerships. Compile data, perform data entry, and assemble information for comprehensive reports or forms. Complete all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with funding requirements quality assurance standards. Attend required team and funder meetings. Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:
Bachelorโs degree in relevant field required; Masterโs degree preferred 1-2 yearsโ experience in teaching, curriculum design, employment counseling, non-profit, case management or related field required. Prior experience working with limited-English-proficient and low-income populations strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to design presentation and deliver classes. Detail-oriented, highly organized and strong partner engagement skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Fluency or professional proficiency in Spanish, Dari/Farsi or Ukrainian strongly preferred.Working Environment: Hybrid remote/in-person office environment. Travel to Fremont, Hayward, Concord and other locations for classes, meetings and events (approximately 40%) required.
Compensation: (Pay Range: 26.00 - 27.00) Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
