The overarching aim is to ensure effective and inclusive socio-economic inclusion of veterans in line with the community-based approach for reintegration, by linking national policies, local-level opportunities, and sectoral needs in mine action.
Scope of work:
The Guidebook on Veterans Engagement into Mine Action in Ukraine should consist of 2 (two) separate guidelines targeting different audience and be designed to be inclusive and gender-sensitive. Veterans bring valuable experience, discipline, and resilience that can directly support mine action operations โ helping to make communities safer while also supporting their own reintegration. By drawing on veteransโ strengths, the sector can grow more effective, inclusive, and locally rooted. Grounded in the principles of Community-Based Reintegration (CBR), the Guidebook should recognize that meaningful employment is not just a personal milestone - itโs also a way to contribute to Ukraineโs recovery.
