1. Using the attached Excel file titled "TPM Data," provide the following analyses: (25%)

a. How many health facilities received the operational budget for this month in cash?

b. Of those health facilities that received the operational budget, generate a table showing a breakdown of how the received cash was used

c. Show the data in part b, disaggregated by Governorate

d. Produce a graph showing the analysis for the above item

e. Write a paragraph describing the above analyses

2. In Yemen, UNICEF supports the training and deployment of Community Health volunteers (CHVs). One of the roles of the CHVs is to screen children between 6 months and 5 years old for malnutrition using Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC). Results of the screening include is color coded by 'green' (means not malnourished); 'yellow' (moderate acute malnutrition); and 'red' (severe acute malnutrition). CHVs are expected to refer children with 'yellow' and 'red' to go to the health facility to receive the necessary treatment; and to follow up each referred child after the initial screening to verify if they complied with the referral. (25%)

a. Draft a data collection tool for CHVs to use that captures the following:

I. Basic demographic data about each child screened

ii. Result of the screening

iii. Follow-up actions taken by the CHV

b. Draft a template for a database the UNICEF field office could use that consolidates data on all MUAC screenings done by CHVs and

allows field staff to analyze the screening data by various parameters (ex. Location, age of child, screening results, etc.)

3. The nutrition Programme uses a mobile-based system to collect data on new and follow up acute malnutrition cases, and the status of supplies on a weekly basis from the district level. At the end of every week, the district health officer collects the data from all treatment sites, then prepares and submits one consolidated report. (25%)The table below shows reports received from the district Danshaqa for 4 consecutive weeks. Have look to the table and answer questions below. When needed, use the assumption of daily prescription of RUTF (one of the supplies used for the treatment of Sever Acute Malnutrition (SAM)) as 4 sachets per day and only one bottle Amoxicillin during the whole treatment period.

a - What is the amount of RUTF needed to be distributed to the 13 OTPs of the district during the 5th week? Please show the calculation procedure?

b - Describe in graphs the trend of SAM and GAM (SAM+MAM) levels in the district for the four weeks?

c - What are weeks during which OTPs received new RUTF and Amoxicillin quantities? Please show your calculation procedure for the received quantities?

d - How do you assess the adequacy of the distributed amounts of RUTF and Amoxicillin in each of the four weeks?


4. As an M&E Officer you are responsible to advice how to monitor and assess the progress of the Health and Nutrition programme in the Governorates. Given the conflict situation in Yemen, UNICEF staffs havelimited access, especially in some active conflict zones, to conduct monitoring field trips. What monitoring methods would you advise UNICEF to deploy, and provide clarification on why you suggest each method (25%)
