Gather programme/project information from managers, subject matter experts, etc. and consolidate data into worksheets to have an overall view on project activities, planning and requirements (e.g. budget, resource planning/allocation). Track programme activities and deliverables; maintain plans, budget, resources (financial and human), expenditures, etc. to compare actual to planned progress to help identifying issues preventing the programme from staying on schedule and within budget. Maintain and improve databases, web-based collaborative platforms, records, status reports, etc. Support and explore new tools including AI-powered platforms, new features and capabilities in existing tools, as well as dashboards to enhance the monitoring of the directorateโ€™s resources and activities, or to improve existing systems. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

Post-secondary education and professional experience of 5 years or completed university studies of 3 years and appropriate professional experience of 3 years. Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. Experience in project or programme management support (e.g. planning, tracking and monitoring activities). Experience in reporting. Experience or understanding in financial aspects related to project management activities. Experience in the use of Office applications, in particular advanced expertise in MS Excel is a must. Understanding of macro/programming is required, experience in this area would be an advantage. The following would be considered an asset: Understanding of the European Union's tender bidding and related project management processes. Knowledge of PowerBI. Drafting skills (English). Analytical thinking: You analyse information and are able to identify relationships. Planning & Organising: You display an organised and methodical approach. Quality Focus: You deliver a consistent quality of work. Teamwork: Your display a collaborative approach. Customer focus: You adapt services to respond to customer needs. Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team-player approach. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1 and acquire at least a basic knowledge of French at level A1 before the end of the probation period. Candidates with French language skills would have an advantage.
The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

The selected candidate may be required to provide documentary evidence confirming they meet the minimum education requirements. They will be informed if and when specific evidence is needed. The selected candidate will be offered a contract for a duration of 5 Year(s) in accordance with the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. This contract may be renewed for a total duration of up to nine (9) years, or it may be converted into an undetermined contract. The selected candidate must successfully complete a probationary period of nine (9) months before being established in the post. The successful candidate shall be engaged in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades. Candidates declared suitable who are not selected for the post will be placed on a reserve list for similar roles. The reserve list will be valid for one year from the closing date of applications.
