What we are looking for

A qualified, motivated Araea Manager who will be tasked with ensuring high-quality implementation of NRCโ€™s core competencies, manages support functions, ensures compliance with NRC policies, and represents NRC at the area level. What you will do

The role will have some of the following responsibilities:

Line management for seniorย project staff and support functions (and Field Office Coordinators) in the area.

Member of the Country Management Group (CMG).

Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies,ย guidanceย and procedures.

Provide area specific input on CC strategies, Country Strategy and Plan of Actionย 

Organize grants opening and closure meetings at area level.ย 

Implementation of projects (including master support budget and coordinating input for donor proposals and reports) in the area, in compliance with contractual commitments (i.e. quality, synergies, timeliness, use of resources)ย and aligned to regional and global strategiesย 

Assess needs, develop emergencyย responseย and implement response plans, including cash-based interventions andย market-basedย programmes.ย 

Ensureย optimalย use of resources within theย allocatedย project budgets and CC strategies.ย ย 

Represent NRC and networkingย on area level.ย 

Ensureย thatย capacity building is provided to all staff in the area.ย 

Ensureย overall securityย and safetyย of staffย in the area.ย

What you will bring

Minimum 4 years of experience working as a Senior Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context, including 2 years in a leadership roleย .

Bachelor's degree in international relations, Humanitarian and Development studies or relatedย field.ย ย ย Master is preferred.ย 

Experience in conflict-affected settings,ย Palestineย preferred.ย ย 

Proven skills in leadership, management of large and diverse teams, and strategic planning.

Demonstrated experience in security management and risk mitigation.

Strong budget management,ย HRย andย logisticsย oversight experience.ย ย 

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing environments.ย 

Detail-oriented withย a high levelย of accuracy and integrity.ย 

Critical thinkingย withย aย constructive approach toย problem-solving.ย 

Strong communicationย and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.ย

Demonstrated commitment to staff well-being, inclusion, and team dynamics, especially inย multiculturalย settings.ย 

Excellent analyticalย and reportingย skills.ย 

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.ย ย 

Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.ย 

What we offer

Duty station:ย West Bank, Jerusalem, Amman

Travel:ย Approximately 30-40% to areas of operation.

Salary/benefits: Grade 10 on NRCโ€™s salary scale.
