Established in 1951, IOM is part of the United Nations System as the leading inter-governmental organization promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all.
Operational in Indonesia for more than 40 years, IOM Indonesia is one of the largest IOM missions in the world working on a wide range of activities in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, civil society, private sector actors, migrants and communities. ย IOM Indonesia is engaged in several thematic areas, including: Counter-Trafficking (CT), Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMSI), Disasters, Climate and Resilience (DCR), Immigration and Border Governance (IBG), Refugee Care, Migration Health, Migration Policy and Data Hub, and Resettlement and Voluntary Returns.
IOM Indonesia aims to ensure quality of care for refugees and asylum seekers referred to IOM by the Government of Indonesia according to applicable international humanitarian and human rights standards. The programme supports refugees through healthcare, education, basic needs, as well as to contributes to the increased protection of vulnerable subgroups, such victims of sexual and gender based violence, among others, through referral mechanisms involving the active participation of specialized state and non-state service providers. It also contributes to supporting them with the eventual sustainable pathways.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Associate, closely working with Health Care, Community Liaison Officers, Resource Management, as well as the Community Accountability Coordinator in Jakarta, in implementing the refugee care activities in line with the Programme requirement, and as part of the programmeโs strategy to community engagement and increased accountability to affected populations, as well as in line with IOM policies, standards and commitments.
EDUCATION
University Degree in Psychology, Management, Economics, Political, Social Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights or Business and Counseling with four years of relevant working experience, or;ย Completed High School diploma from an accredited academic institution, with five years of working experience Degree in psychology an advantageEXPERIENCE
Indonesian National with good knowledge of, and experience in managing programme & operational activities with working experiences in supporting mental health assistance. Has relevant working experience, preferably in project implementation support, training delivery is an advantage; Has experience to coordinate administrative activities;.ย Experience in working on migration management activities, with exposure to Imigrasi processes, as well as beneficiary context;SKILLS
Ability to identify needs and proven ability to implement and monitor programmes; Proven ability and experience in liaising with Government Departments/Authorities and UN and other international organizations, private sector and other stakeholders;ย Ability to prepare clear and concise reports in English; A high degree of computer literacy is required. IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
