UNFPA is the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency. Its mission is to create a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. The UNFPA Strategic Plan (2026-2029) reaffirms this direction and focuses on three transformative results: ending preventable maternal deaths, ending the unmet need for family planning, and ending gender-based violence and harmful practices.
