Org. Setting and ReportingThis position is located in Ain Ziouani within the Transport Section of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF). The incumbent will report to Transport Officer. ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Transport Officer, the incumbent is responsible for: · Managing the expendable items of the Transport Section, including the acquisition, receipt and usage of spare parts and lubricants used in the TPT workshops. . Preparing requisitions of expendable items and POL products for the regular resupply of the TPT Stores supporting the workshops at POS 22 and Camp Ziouani for vehicle repair and maintenance. · Preparing lists of expendables to be ordered through the Supply Chain Management requisitioning unit. · Following up with the Supply Chain Management units and Supply Section regarding the delivery of items ordered. · Coordinates with the UNDOF R&I unit the receiving and inspection of incoming goods (R&I Inspection) · Codification of items before electronic receipt of same into the inventory system. · Ensures that UMOJA is updated to accurately reflect the inventory of expendables. . Creates, prints and records Driving permits, monitors expiry dates and withdrawal periods. . Monitors CARLOG downloading stations and vehicle units for functionality. · Raises discrepancy and defect reports for incoming assets that are not in accordance with specifications outlined in Purchase Orders. · Determines and regularly reviews ‘minimum-maximum’ levels of spare parts. · Alerts the supervisor of any shortages that may arise between re-supply cycles. · Focal point for creation of Budget and Audit reports. . Processes I-Need requests. · Ensures that expendables consumed are recorded accurately in UMOJA through the work order system. · Conducts random and scheduled physical verification checks. · Maintains complete records and documents of all related transactions and entries. · Generates complete and up-to-date inventory reports. · Generates correspondence and relevant status reports/technical reports as required. · Prepares cost estimates for the expendables used in the repair of UN vehicles and completes the relevant parts of the ‘Damage Discrepancy Reports’ in UMOJA. . Drives UN vehicles in support of UNDOF duties. . Acts as Attendance monitor on behalf of CTO and recording in UMOJA. . Records, Checks, and charges Liberty mileage. . Prepares all Transport related documents, Memo, Fax, Administrative instructions, Liberty and Welfare requests for CTO signature. · Performs other duties, as assigned. Knowledge of MS Office applications is desirable. Work ExperienceAt least five (05) years of progressively responsible experience in transport operations management is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to three (3) years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
