Background:
A vacancy for a fix-term Transport Assistant G5, has arisen in the Fund Administration Unit of the OSCE Presence in Albania.
The mandate of the OSCE Presence in Albania is to promote democratization, the rule of law, and human rights as well as to consolidate democratic institutions in line with OSCE principles, standards and commitments.
Originally established in 1997, today, the Presenceโs activities range from arms control and the fight against trafficking to electoral assistance; anti-corruption initiatives; gender mainstreaming and environmental projects; human right, protection; legislative, judicial, and media reform; and the capacity-building of law enforcement officials.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the ยซthe Administrative and General Services Officerยป, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:
1. Manages the vehicle fleet and generators of PiA, acts as a dispatcher, provides administrative and clerical support;
2. Prepares daily transportation plan and tasks drivers according the plan; keeps records of Vehicle Requests and Vehicle Plans.
3. Maintains and updates all the PiA vehicle trip tickets, mileage and maintenance reports; prepares Monthly Vehicle Reports and other reports related to vehicle fleet.
4. Monitors vehicle movement and drivers activities and collects information on the vehicle status (on a daily basis), use of fuel coupons and all information related to the safety and technical status, road and driving conditions in Albania.
5. Assists in organizing driving lessons and tests for the new mission members; records and files the test results; prepares Driving Authorizations for OSCE mission members.
6. Records the private mileage of the Presencesโ vehicles and reports the vehicle usage to the Administrative and General Services Officer;
7. Provides required reports and data for the management;
8. Responsible for organizing and assisting drivers at accident scenes and processes any related any related documents and insurance claims;
9. Performs any other duties as assigned.

Remuneration Package:
According to the fixed OSCE salary scale, the monthly remuneration for G5 is approximately 1,058.25 EURO, subject to National Social Security deductions, in line with the Albanian Law.

Appointments are normally made at Step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. In exceptional cases, an initial appointment at up to Step 3 may be considered. This depends on factors such as relevant experience exceeding minimum requirements or higher previous remuneration. The mandatory retirement age at the OSCE is 65 years for contracted positions at the general service, professional and director level. The Organization shall apply an age limit of 62 years at the time of appointment as the incumbent selected is normally expected to carry out the contractual obligation of two years.
