Your team
Within the The Directorate Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre, the \"Facilities\" service is responsible for the provision of soft and hard facility management and physical security services.
Your role
Your role will be to:
- Act as the Point of Contact (POC) for critical facilities systems and installations (e.g. UPS, diesel generators, chillers, etc.), ensuring preventive maintenance, inspections, compliance with legal and safety standards, and efficient operation by:
- Participating in the set-up of the preventive maintenance plan and ensuring execution and follow-up of interventions and remedial actions in case of defects.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
Completion of a post-secondary education or secondary education giving access to post-secondary education (e.g., Electricity (ELEC), Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), Engineering, etc.), meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level 4 or higher, and relevant professional experience of at least 3 years. Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate.The following certificates would be considered an advantage when applying and/or will need to be obtained by the end of the probation period:

This job is subject to the following internal certificates:
Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) Competence A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience. Experience with Electrical, Electro-mechanical, and HVAC systems, including maintenance and emergency procedures. Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). Knowledge of Security systems (e.g., Access Control, CCTV). Knowledge of Maintenance Management systems (e.g., Ultimo). Knowledge of Document Management (e.g., SharePoint). Technical writing skills (English). Problem Solving: You anticipate and solve business issues. Quality focus: You set and foster high quality standards. Planning & Organising: You plan ahead and adapt as required. Communication: You foster two-way communication. Teamwork: You foster teamwork. Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. The working languages of the Agency are English and French.For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English and Dutch at level C1 or C2. Renewal(s): This appointment may be renewed several times, but its total duration, including all renewal periods, may not exceed nine (9) years. Conversion: Conversion to an undetermined duration appointment is possible where all of the following cumulative conditions are met: the post is confirmed as being of a lasting nature; the staff member has completed at least five years of service; the staff memberโs performance has been satisfactory; and the conversion is in the interests of the service. Conversion is therefore not automatic. The internal staff member with a determined contract will be offered, in principle, an appointment for 5 Year(s) with a maximum total duration of 9 years. The successful candidate shall be appointed at the grade set out in this vacancy notice, or if a group of grades has been published for a job level, in principle at the basic grade of the published job level. Candidates declared suitable who are not selected for the post will be placed on a reserve list for similar roles. The reserve list will be valid for one year from the closing date of applications.
