The Country Management Unit (CMU) team is part of the East Africa Regional Department at IFC. Our team plays a central role in coordinating program and team support for all functions, ensuring smooth operations across administrative, liaison, and mission-related activities. IFC is seeking Team Assistant, based in Nairobi, Kenya, to provide proactive administrative and operational support to a select business line, ensuring seamless execution of its strategic initiatives. This role is pivotal in fostering collaboration, enhancing efficiency, and driving impactful solutions that advance IFCโ€™s mission of promoting sustainable private sector development in the region.

Role and Responsibilitiesย โ€ข Provide comprehensive administrative support to a select business line, ensuring efficient coordination of daily operations and adherence to IFC policies and procedures.โ€ข Manage scheduling and calendar arrangements for team members, including organizing meetings, appointments, and conference calls with internal and external stakeholders.โ€ข Prepare, edit, and format high-quality documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence in English, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.โ€ข Coordinate travel arrangements for team members, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation, while ensuring compliance with IFC travel policies.โ€ข Facilitate the planning and execution of events, workshops, and meetings, including logistical arrangements, participant communication, and on-site support.โ€ข Maintain and update records, databases, and filing systems to ensure accurate documentation and easy retrieval of information.โ€ข Act as a liaison between the business line and other IFC departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration across teams.โ€ข Monitor and track deadlines, deliverables, and follow-ups to ensure timely completion of tasks and alignment with organizational priorities.โ€ข Support procurement and financial processes, including preparing purchase requests, processing invoices, and tracking expenses in line with IFC guidelines.โ€ข Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment by proactively addressing challenges, sharing ideas, and upholding IFCโ€™s values of integrity, respect, and development impact.

Preference will be given to local talent, that is, applicants that are authorized to work in the duty station for any employer.
