The WHO Country Office in Bahrain was established in July 2021 as the 152nd country office globally and the 20th country office in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region which comprises 22 Member States.
ContextThe WHO Country Office (WCO) in Bahrain is based in Manama, Bahrain, and provides technical support to the Member State to achieve WHO’s Triple Billion targets and to advance towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda. Universal Health Coverage (UHC) lies at the heart of sustainable development and WHO’s mandate and work. Under the guidance and supervision of the WHO Representative and Head of Office, the online volunteer will contribute to the development of the 2024 Annual Report.
Task DescriptionWe are looking for an online volunteer with experience in graphic design, layout design, and excellent editing & artwork skills. The assignment will include the following responsibilities: • Preparing an attractive and engaging design/layout for the 2024 Annual Report for WHO Country Office, Bahrain, in compliance with WHO branding guidelines. • Designing, improving, and/or editing artwork, photos, charts, tables and other graphic elements as needed to create a harmonious annual report and convey key messages to various target audiences. • Developing design elements, icons, etc for use in the annual report as needed. • Editing the newsletter design and layout based on the feedback received from the WHO Country Office focal points. • Delivering creative and innovative ideas for electronic, web-based publication, and/or print formats. • Attending regular meetings with Country Office focal points to discuss the design, share feedback, review necessary edits. • Generating designs from concept stage to final delivery and actively contributing to the creative process.
