The QLD State Manager has the responsibility for the financial performance and operational management of the state network of retail op shops. This is a โhands onโ role, requiring the incumbent to have an intimate understanding of the network and deliver value through improvements in core retail drivers and financial growth. The role requires significant time both in store and on the road driving business development. You will lead a team of 3 direct reports and will indirectly manager a team of 300 volunteers, building a dynamic culture of collaboration and cohesion.

The QLD State Manager plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. Whether itโs coordinating state retail activities by ensuring that stores have sufficient support or implementing national and local strategies to achieve financial targets, youโll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.
You will make a difference by:
ยท Ensure consistency across the state network for core retail operational elements (including branding, store operations, merchandising, volunteer management and inventory management) through the implementation of National guidelines and strategies
ยท Facilitate the implementation of the National Retail Strategy
ยท In conjunction with the Director of Retail, identify new store sites as required
ยท Develop a customer centric culture across the network
ยท Actively contribute as the state subject matter expert in the delivery of Retail projects and initiatives.

ยท Solid retail experience with financial and operational responsibility and accountability for a defined retail store network
ยท Demonstrated experience of driving material improvement in income growth and operational efficiency
ยท Well developed retail management skills across all aspects including but not limited to retail operations, category management, merchandising and marketing
ยท A solid understanding of retail fundamentals & practices gained through working in a commercial or not-for-profit retail environment
ยท A current & unrestricted Driverโs License
