5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances childrenโ€™s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support childrenโ€™s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries.

We wonโ€™t stop until we are all equal.

The Opportunity

The Position holder for NORAD project will work closely with the project team, partners and support with coordination of the project at all levels. The person will provide gender and SRHR technical support in the project planning, implementation, and monitoring to influence gender equality through the intervention, both for women and girls, as well as across social groups. The person will be working on addressing negative social and gender norms that prevent girls and women from enjoying their sexual and reproductive health and rights. The post holder will also support male engagement campaign strategies aimed at transforming practices, attitudes, and beliefs on SRHR issues.
