About this position:
The Social Sector is a multidisciplinary team convinced that investing in people is the way to improve lives and overcome the development challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean. Jointly with the countries in the region, the Social Sector formulates public policy solutions to reduce poverty and improve the delivery of education, work, social protection, and health services. The objective is to advance a more productive region, with equal opportunities for men and women, and greater inclusion of the most vulnerable groups.
We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic, and team player professional with administrative background to support the contracts officers.
You will work in the front office part of Social Sector department. This team is responsible for preparing and administering contracts for individual consultants and consulting firms.
What youโll do:
- Support the Office of the Managerโs team in the processing and administration of contracts for complementary workforce (individual consultants and firms), including the preparation of letters of agreement, creation, and update of vendors in the Client Master.
- Process and track payments to ensure completion. Follow up with Finance Department (FIN) and vendors when needed.
- Support the contracting officerโs team in the performance of their daily work, including the research and verification of information using several sources.
- Monitoring processes, tickets, workorders, among others to ensure the procedures are followed properly within the deadlines.
- Maintenance and data entry on the SCLโs corporate bases.
- Create progress reports, presentations, internal guidelines, and correspondence as needed.
- Analyze internal processes and data to identify potential improvements, provide recommendations on how to maximize resources and reduce time.
- Respond to a variety of requests and inquiries regarding contracts procedures, and Bankโs policies.
- Provide support to the Sector Resource Planner in budget related topics.
- Support all other administrative functions required by the Front Office.
Additional tasks as needed:
- Provide logistical support in the planning and coordination of events.
What you'll need:
- Education: Technical studies or associate degree, bachelorโs degree preferable
- Experience: At least two years of experience
- Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

Requirements:
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

- Type of contract: Consultant full time, CNS.
- Length of contract: 12 months.
