Mission and objectivesPromotion of Sustainable Development in Donga Mantung Association was officially recognized by the Government of Cameroon in 2006 under authorization No. 152/E.27/750/BAPP/PS. In 2024, it achieved Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, focusing on sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and migration assistance. The association is registered as an Extra-Provincial Corporation in Alberta, Canada. PROSDOMA is dedicated to supporting newcomers in Alberta, helping them successfully settle and integrate into Canadian society. We offer assistance with asylum and permanent residency applications, ensuring newcomers have the legal support they need. Additionally, PROSDOMA provides counseling services, job search support, and computer skills training to equip individuals with essential tools for long-term success. We connect newcomers to vital resources such as food banks, shelters, and tax filing assistance, ensuring their basic needs are met as they navigate their new environment. Our mission goes beyond basic support, as we strive to foster social inclusion by encouraging newcomers to actively contribute to their communities, enriching Canadaโs diverse fabric. PROSDOMA also focuses on expanding its outreach through social media platforms, raising awareness about available services. By doing so, we ensure that newcomers have access to the support they need to build a stable, fulfilling life in Canada.
ContextPROSDOMA is seeking dedicated volunteers to help manage our social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Volunteers will play a key role in showcasing our work, sharing success stories, and raising awareness about the services we offer to newcomers in Alberta. Your efforts will help connect us with those in need of support, enabling us to reach a wider audience and make a greater impact. If youโre passionate about social media and helping others, we would love to have you join our team and contribute to our mission. Volunteers will resesrch articles, teaching materials and graphics related to our work which will be published on our social media accounts. The teaching materials, research articles will be in line with the objectives of PROSDOMA for our target audience. The teaching materials will highlight information related to our work in order to show case our work. This will help newcomers know about us and where to seek help but no direct communication with any third party. Volunteers will get to know our vision, mission, objectives and achievements in order to design articles and information for our social media pages.
Task DescriptionWe are seeking four online volunteers who can manage our social media account. Each volunteer is expected to complete one of the following task: - Conduct research and draft articles that relate the objectives, mission, vision and achievements of PROSDOMA. This will help our target audience know what we are doing and how to reach us. Volunteers will be required to: - Designing five graphics related to researched articles weekly. - Write short note on researched articles and graphic designs for our social media page. - Post graphics and written articles on our social media account. five articles a week and about 15-20 articles a month.
