Introduction
Action Contre la Faim (ACF) seeks a consultant to revise, update and finalize a comprehensive implementation manual and toolbox for the manual called โStrengthening Capacities through Life-skills for Entrepreneurship - Integrating Life, Social, Emotional Skills into livelihood programmingโ. This manual will consolidate existing ACF documents both for the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support and Food Security and Livelihood department.
Objectives and scope
The primary objective of this contract is to recruit a consultant who will be responsible for:
Coordinating the updating process of the ACF Scale the skills Manual and Toolbox. Finalizing the manual and toolbox, in English and in French, based on existing ACF documents and the latest lessons learned from our projects.The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
Responsibilities: Update the existing manual, in particular by adding references and sources, adding or removing existing exercises, adding technical and practical specifications to the 17-20 age group. Develop an introduction and methodology chapter at the beginning of the manual. Integrate the ACF Housing coaching and the ACF M&E tools in a specific chapter or in an annex. Strengthen the integration of gender and protection specificities in the manual and toolbox. Make connections with the FSL manual (see available documentation). Propose a (light) design of the manual content Update the existing toolbox (ToT powerpoint presentations) with adjustments done in the manual Finalize the guidelines and toolbox in English and in French. Outcome: A detailed technical manual and toolbox. Sources at disposal: Existing ACF manual and toolbox (2023) in English and in French. Documentation to understand the approach Adaptation of the manual in other countries Documents to use for partial integration in the manualDeliverables and timeline
The consultant is expected to deliver the ACF Scale the skills manual and toolbox updated as required in English and French.
The consultant is expected to complete the deliverables within a specified timeframe, to be determined during the initial phase of the contract. Regular progress reports will be required to ensure timely completion, on 15 December at the latest.
Qualifications
The ideal consultant should have:
Proven experience in drafting technical documents related to psychosocial interventions. Familiarity with ACF's existing frameworks. Strong coordination and writing skills both in French and in English.Reporting and Supervision
The consultant will collaborate closely with and report to the ACF Middle East and East Europe MHPSS Regional Technical Advisor and the Head of MHPSS at the HQ to ensure alignment with ACF's standards and guidelines.

All documents and information provided during the consultancy are confidential and the property of ACF. The consultant shall not disclose any information without prior written consent from ACF.
Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions of the contract will be discussed and agreed upon with the selected consultant. The total budget for this consultancy is 5.000 euros. Consultancy is equivalent to half a month's full-time work.
