Main purpose of the position
The Site Manager will support the implementation of field-level activities under the NUSTALGIC PRIMA project in Khmesat, Morocco. The role involves coordinating with local partners to engage farmers in Living Labs, providing hands-on technical support for sustainable legume and barley cultivation, and promoting community-based agricultural practices. The position plays a key role in ensuring effective knowledge exchange, monitoring field activities, and supporting inclusive, climate-resilient agricultural development in alignment with ICARDA\u2019s mission.

Main responsibilities
Facilitate the identification and selection of participating farmers in Living Labs in close coordination with local partners. Provide regular, timely, and context-specific agricultural extension support to farmers, including legume and barley cultivation, soil management, and sustainable farming practices. Organize, attend, and document farmers\u2019 meetings and community discussions, ensuring clear notetaking and reporting. Actively participate in project-related policy dialogues, stakeholder events, and dissemination activities, representing the field-level implementation team. Monitor the proper use and maintenance of agricultural machinery deployed for legume and barley production at farmers\u2019 sites. Oversee the participatory establishment of terraces and other conservation agriculture measures on farmers\u2019 plots, ensuring community engagement and ownership. Support data collection, monitoring, and reporting as needed. Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Project Leader or Legume Scientist, based on project needs.Requirements
Education, qualifications, and experience
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Agriculture or related field. Minimum of two years of field experience working directly with farmers. Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to issues of social and gender inequality in rural communities. Strong attention to details and organizational skills. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to community engagement and inclusive agricultural development. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Benefits
Terms of appointment, salary, and benefits
The successful candidate will be offered a 9-month consultancy contract on a full-time basis.
The Incumbent will be provided with a monthly Honorarium.
