Description of Responsibilities
The major responsibility in the team is to support The GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) mainly focusing on:
โข Support workshop/training organized by the team;
โข Support project monitoring and evaluation related documents including project reports and publications:
โข Translate, proofread, and edit SGP related documents;
โข Draft and update project information on internal database and website;
โข Maintain regular communication with NGO partners via email;
โข ย Support content review and publication of NGO partner materials on social media and other outreach platforms:
โข Attend meeting and draft meeting minutes:
โข Assist with administrative and financial actionsย related to project recruitment and procurement
โข Perform other ad hoc assignments as required by the team
Competencies
โข Fluency in English and Chinese
โข Background in environmental management, communications, business administration, international organizations, or other relevant fields
โข Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems
โข General understanding of the work of NGOs, environmental sustainability and international development issues.
โข Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft clear and concise documents in both English and Chinese.
โข Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation and proofreading.
โข Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
โข Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
โข Familiarity with social media platforms, content publishing, and basic design tools is an asset
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Masterโs degree in environment or international development is desirable.
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
Enrolled in a Master's or in a PhD programme In the final year of a Bachelorโs programme; Or within one year after graduation from a Bachelorโs, Masterโs or PhD programme, Or be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program Experience in developing research communication products would be an advantage.Language and Skills
Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English language.

INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS
Interns must provide proof of enrollment in health insurance plan and medical certificate of good health prior to starting the internship. Any cost arising from accidents and illness incurred during an internship assignment will be the responsibility of the intern. The stipend will be paid monthly. Interns will have 1.5 days of leave per month. Interns are responsible for obtaining necessary visas and arranging travel to and from the duty station where the internship will be performed; Cost and arrangement for travel, visas, passports, accommodations and living expenses are the responsibility of the nominating institution, related institution or government, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students; or the intern. Interns must not apply for or be appointed to a position that should be encumbered by a staff number during the period of their internship. Interns are expected to fulfil the terms of their internships. Therefore, the internship must not be foreshortened for the purposes of allowing an intern to apply for a position.
