We are seeking a Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager for a 2-year-regular position (renewable) to work within the Strategy, Program, Quality & Risk Management Department at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, Korea. (Duty station: Seoul, Korea)
Job Description
This job is responsible for providing overall management and coordination of institutional strategic initiatives from the ideation stage to completion or to transfer to a PM from the Project management team ensuring timely delivery, quality outcome and efficient use of resources. This job also contributes to strategic planning and cross-sectoral collaboration that amplify IVI impact on global health.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Institutional strategic initiatives project management
Provide direct project management support to IVI strategic initiatives as defined by IVI Director General, from the ideation stage to the project closing or up to transfer to a PM from the Project management team ensuring timely delivery, quality outcome and efficient use of resources in a manner consistent with IVI project management guidelines. Accompany the Director General and/or key IVI staff to strategic meetings, coordinate preparation and logistics. Prepare agendas and supporting materials in collaboration with senior managers and stakeholders; take detailed meeting minutes, assign and track action items. Develop and maintain detailed Gantt charts and visual dashboards to track progress across various workstreams. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and follow-up on project milestones and deliverables. Support the preparation and tracking of high-level budget proposals with relevant IVI stakeholders. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationship (internal team, donors, implementing partners, government and international collaborators) and represents the projects to external stakeholders as required.2. Strategy plan development and strategy plan execution monitoring
Provide technical input and strategic materials (presentations, briefs, reports) to support high-level decision-making. Compile data across units and functions to support the development of the strategy plan. Contribute to the formulation of IVIโs institutional strategy plan. Monitor the execution of the strategy plan and keep tracking of the KPIs and strategy deliverables, develop dashboard and reporting tools. Regularly report to IVI leadership.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
1. Education Requirements
Bachelorโs degree (Biomedical Science preferred) Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) preferred
2. Related Field Work Experience
10+ years of progressive experience in project or program management and/or strategic planning within global health, biomedical research, or development sectors Demonstrated success managing cross-functional projects and high-level stakeholder engagement, including donors and government entities.

Proficient in project management tools and dashboards.
