Tasks and Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the Head of the Office of Political Affairs, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:
Providing political and policy advice to the office of the Head of Mission, and to the programmatic departments; Co-ordinating, drafts, and consolidating daily, weekly, background and spot reports for the OSCE Secretariat, as well as contributing to other reports for the Office; Conducting fact checking, requesting additional information, ensuring objective reporting in line with OSCE standards; Preparing policy notes and briefing papers as required by the Head of Mission; Monitoring and analyzing political and security trends in the Mission area and the region, and advising the Mission in this respect, verbally and through written reports; Advising the OSCE Missionโs programmatic departments in the conduct of relations with stakeholders (institutions, community representatives, media, civil society, other); Facilitating follow-up activities by the Missionโs programmatic departments in response to identified governance and/or community issues, as appropriate; Liaising with international and local stakeholders; Liaising with the Missionโs Departments and Field Offices to ensure that the Office of Political Affairs and Communications is informed of the current developments in the Mission area; Performing other duties as required.For more detailed information on the structure and work of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, please see: ยซOSCE Mission in Kosovoยป
