Senior Partnerships Associate

The Senior Partnerships Associate will play a central role in advancing strategic partnerships and resource mobilization for the GGGI UAE Country Program. Based in Dubai at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE), the Senior Partnerships Associate will support developing partnership and facilitate communications and coordination of the GGGI UAE and other internal (within GGGI) and external stakeholders in the UAE.

The Senior Associate will serve as a focal point between GGGI UAE program, and GGGI HQ & GGGI MENA RO for partnerships related matters. The Senior Partnerships Associate will directly contribute to increasing GGGIโ€™s visibility in the UAE, and securing additional funding sources to support the expansion of the program.

PURPOSE

Reporting to the Country Representative in the UAE, the Senior Associate will be expected to coordinate with the MENA Regional Director, in close consultation with the UAE Country Representative, to provide support for regional partnership efforts as needed.

The Senior Partnerships Associate will lead efforts to strengthen partnerships, support resource mobilization, and enhance the visibility of the UAE program. Working closely with the Country Representative and Program Managers, the Associate will contribute to the programโ€™s financial sustainability and coordinate with staff and consultants to ensure effective delivery. The Senior Associate will support donor engagement by coordinating stakeholder inputs and helping develop strong, donor-aligned proposals.

ENGAGEMENT
Assist in business development efforts, including the preparation of funding proposals and concept notes for the GGGI UAE program. Support relationship-building efforts with donors by promoting awareness of GGGI's work, identifying resource mobilization opportunities, and addressing proposal-related risks. Maintain an up-to-date mapping of donors and project partners, including the identification and tracking of key funding opportunities. Maintain strong knowledge and communication networks with bilateral and multilateral agencies, development organizations, government entities, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders. Coordinate internal and external reporting requirements in compliance with GGGI and donor guidelines. Support ad-hoc request from the RO-MENA to assist the Regional Director.

DELIVERY

The Senior Partnerships Associate shall perform the following tasks:

Build new partnerships through effective networking within the UAEโ€™s sustainability ecosystem. Analyze, develop, and communicate project opportunities for a portfolio of resource partners and donors, including private sector entities in the UAE. Upload all partnership and resource mobilization (RM) related documents, and complete all required forms in GGGI Online. Prepare Back-to-Office Reports (BTORs) for meetings related to partnerships and resource mobilization. Conduct research and desk reviews to inform proposal development and integrate relevant data and evidence into donor-ready materials. Ensure timely proposal submissions through effective planning, progress tracking, and communication with contributors. Contribute directly to the drafting and production of concept notes, proposals, and donor reports, ensuring consistency, high quality, and alignment with GGGIโ€™s templates, language, and formatting standards. Manage the submissions are aligned with donor requirements and reflect GGGIโ€™s strategic priorities. Prepare periodic and ad-hoc donor reports in coordination with the GGGI UAE Country Representative. Develop and maintain standardized MOU templates in coordination with the Country Representative and Project Managers, upload them to GGGI Online, and liaise with the relevant departments at HQ. Develop program introduction and promotional materials on GGGI UAE for internal and external stakeholders. Gather and synthesize information from internal and external sources into comprehensive, donor-ready documents for relevant in-country RMs. Handle the process of maintaining and updating the GGGI online system regarding RM and partnerships, by uploading all partnership-related documents, including but not limited to Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Project Cycle Management (PCM) documentation.

REQUIRMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in international relations, public policy, sustainable development, or a related field. Minimum of 5~6 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in partnership work and technical proposal writing for diverse donors. Proven track record of securing funding from institutional, bilateral, and multilateral donors. High proficiency in MS Office applications. Fluency in English (written and spoken). Fluence in Arabic counts as a strong asset (written and spoken). Valid residency in the UAE. Exceptional writing and editing skills. Experience working in a high-paced environment. Strong organizational skills that demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in government relations, donor engagement, and public-private partnerships in the UAE.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Senior Partnerships Associate is an X7 grade level in GGGIโ€™s UAE national salary scale. The salary range for the position starts at USD 65,303 per annum, depending on qualifications, experience and internal equity. GGGI provides 15% of base salary towards retirement plan/long-term savings, 27 days of annual leave, and private health insurance that covers dental and vision.
