ECMWF has an exciting opening for a Senior Executive Coordinator in the Research Department.
The Senior Executive Coordinator reports to the Deputy Director of Research and provides support in the formulation and implementation of annual work plans and activities to ensure the department meets its objectives and commitments. You will provide day-to-day executive support to the Director and Deputy Director of Research and act as the focal point in the Research Department. In this role you will also support the wider department of around 175+ professional scientists and technical staff based across our duty stations in Reading, UK, and Bonn, Germany.

Your responsibilities
Work closely with the Director and Deputy Director of Research in planning meetings, answering correspondence, assisting in the preparation of documents and presentations as well as diary management.Act as focal point and provide administrative support for the activities of the department, ECMWF governing bodies and external stakeholders.Arrange and co-ordinate meetings of ECMWF governing bodies in terms of logistics, administrative support, document preparation and follow-up actions, in particular for the Science Advisory Committee.Support the departmentโs information management activities, including Intranet content management, web-publishing and maintenance of the document management system.Monitor the departmentโs budgets, process invoices, raise purchase orders and co-ordinate mission travel for department staff.Maintain and, with the Deputy Director of Research, review ECMWF journal subscriptions, supporting needs across ECMWF for access to journals and books.Contribute to the review and implementation of policies and procedures and identify best practices and improvements.Cover for other Senior Executive Coordinators during their absence.Carry out other duties as required.About ECMWF

What we're looking for

Grade remuneration: The successful candidates will be recruited at the B6 grade, according to the scales of the Co-ordinated Organisations and the annual basic salary will be GBP 69,975 net of tax. ECMWF also offers a generous benefits package, including a flexible teleworking policy. The position is assigned to the employment category STF-C as defined in the ECMWF Staff Regulations. As a multi-site organisation, ECMWF has adopted a hybrid organisation model which allows flexibility to staff to mix office working and teleworking. We allow for remote work 10 days/month away from the office and up to 80 days/year away from the duty station (within the area of our Member States and Co-operating States).
