This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 8 days per month in the office. It has three pillars focused on driving up ambition; supporting countries to integrate climate, nature and people into their transition pathways; and shifting the international financial system, trade, and regulation and standards in support of this.The Senior Director for Finance and Private Sector in the CEF Program will be responsible for shaping and delivering WRIโs work on increasing the quantity, quality and coherence of the financial system, across public, private, domestic and international, climate, nature and development finance. The Senior Director will also be responsible for overseeing work supporting transitions in corporate business strategies. They will provide thought leadership internationally and in WRI; strengthen WRIโs analysis, convenings, partnerships and programs to support finance and private sector transformation; and grow and build a professional cadre of finance and private sector professionals within CEF, across WRI focus countries and within WRIโs energy, cities, and food/land/water teams.The Senior Director, Finance and Private Sector should bring a background in development and/or climate finance and an understanding of corporate transitions for people, nature and climate.
