ContextWHO is accountable towards delivery of expected results. The project ensures that progress is monitored and reported periodically. Evaluation is an integral component of operational planning. The project ensures WHOโ€™s performance against the Programme Budget is analysed and reported. In coordination with technical units and Administration and Finance, the incumbent will contribute to monitoring performance against deliverables and indicators and assist preparing reports for all programmes with emphasis on emergency programme. Participation in the field trips to the camp with health sector partners, donor visits, etc and presentation at the Professional Staff Meetings, joint meeting with Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Health Sector Coordination meetings are envisaged.

Task DescriptionUnder the overall guidance of the Head of Sub Office, WHO Emergency Sub Office, Coxโ€™s Bazar and the direct supervision of the Operations Specialist, WHO Emergency Sub Office, Coxโ€™s Bazar, the Resource Mobilization Officer will be responsible for the following assigned duties: 1. Build and maintain effective partnerships with donors to maintain and grow funding for WHO initiatives in Coxโ€™s Bazar. 2. Gather timely intelligence on donor priorities, policies, budgets, funding trends, and opportunities; develop contributor profiles and engagement strategies to strengthen coordinated outreach across WHO in the Coxโ€™s Bazar. 3. Convene high-level strategic dialogues, briefings, and consultations with key partners, articulating a clear vision for future collaboration. 4. Advise and support WSO (WHO Sub Office) leadership in donor meetings and engagement activities. Assist with the development and maintenance of a tracking system of donor profile, technical and financial reporting requirements, including those related to cross-programmatic or emergencies in the Coxโ€™s Bazar. 5. Provide support to project reporting, including editing, quality control and compliance with donor requirements. 6. Contribute to the development of the project proposals as direct assistance to technical units. 7. Assist with the preparation of various written materials such as briefing notes, presentations, meeting minutes, periodic reports, or situation reports. 8. Facilitate effective dissemination of WHO technical and communication material, including drafting, proof reading and appropriate language use for posting on the social media plat-forms and WHO website in donors related documents in close coordination with Communication Officer. 9. Assist with preparation and coordination of internal or external missions in the areas of pro-gramme management and partnership in the Sub-Office. 10. Monitor WHOโ€™s performance and build capacities to meet donor expectations in line with grant agreements and commitments. 11. Undertake any other assignment as requested by the supervisor. Results/Expected Outputs: 1. Resource mobilization plan for WHO Emergency Sub Office in Coxโ€™s Bazar 2. Packaging of information products for dissemination to partners, donors, and the public including strong visual communication. 3. Support in organizing visits of donors.

Living conditions and remarksCox's Bazar is a district of Bangladesh, and it is famous for fishing port and tourism. It is one of the most-visited tourist destinations in Bangladesh. The beach in Cox's Bazar is an unbroken 120 km (75 miles) sandy sea beach with a gentle slope, making it the second longest sea beach in the world. The climate of Cox's bazar is similar to the rest of the country. The climate ofBangladesh is generally determined by its location in the tropical monsoon region: high temperature, heavy rainfall, generally excessive humidity, and distinct seasonal variations. It is further characterized by the location in the coastal area. Historically Coxโ€™s Bazar, like other parts of Bangladesh, is a safe place to live. Since August 2017, with the large scale Rohingya influx from Myanmar, Coxโ€™s Bazar is seen as a district with a humanitarian crisis. Culturally Coxโ€™s Bazar is very diverse and well-known for its traditional heritage. The communications systems in Coxโ€™s Bazar is well developed and the district is well-connected with other cities. All the national mobile networks are operational in Coxโ€™s Bazar. Walking within Coxโ€™s Bazar city is only allowed during daytime. Travel by rickshaw is also permitted within Coxโ€™s Bazar only during daytime. Coxโ€™s Bazar has a domestic airport and is currently classified as a family duty station (Security Level 3-moderate; Hardship category-D). Accommodations are safe, clean and comfortable, but basic. The UN Volunteerwill be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.
