ContextSport can establish and strengthen multi-stakeholder partnerships and networks to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The project aims at creating partnership with other communities(Soccer-groups, schools, teams, clubs and academies) in bringing sustainable goals to the communities by sharing skills and knowledge (North South cooperation) in deriving solutions in making sure that the poverty gap in reduced by using sports as tool for social change and inclusiveness. The YPDO’s assignment of taking advantage of using digital platforms by linking communities in sharing ideas of not only in sport but other areas affecting is some special vehicle of North South cooperation and knowledge transfer.
Task DescriptionThe Youth Press and Development Organization (Y.P.D.O) is a non-profit organization based in Zambia. Through its sporting initiative called Malalo (Bridges) Sports Foundation (www.malalosport.com) uses sport (football and chess) as a tool for social change and is recognized by the UN office on Sport as one of the initiatives that are bringing change in communities through sport. The sporting project has soccer teams of boys’ and girls ages 10-21 playing in local leagues. Currently, the project is looking for partnerships with other communities and organizations to help us source a VEO Camera or Spiideo Camera for online broadcasting of games for the Children. The YPDO requires the services of volunteers to help in researching these potential partners/communities around the world . The opportunities aims at creating partnerships as well linkages for programs of mutual exchange. The assignment is supposed to be concluded within 4 weeks. The Y.P.D.O shall provide all the required information for the volunteer on the assignment and collaborations shall be done online. Volunteers shall be required to research on these potential partners by giving weekly feeds. The volunteer should have the necessary credentials in the field of sport and partnerships.
