Result of Service. Work LocationSiblin Training Center Expected duration09 Months Duties and Responsibilities1. Act as the SMART renewable energy focal point within STC, ensuring alignment with institutional and programmatic goals. 2. Support the development and continuous enhancement of renewable energy curricula, ensuring alignment with industry standards, emerging technologies, and labor market demands. 3. Support STC management to ensure proper capacity-building programs for instructors, identifying training needs and coordinating professional development activities to enhance their expertise in renewable energy. 4. Identify adequate learning resources, including technology, supplies, and equipment, to support effective teaching and hands-on training. 5. Support conducting labor market assessments to identify employment opportunities, challenges, and skill gaps in the renewable energy sector, ensuring curricula and training programs are demand driven. 6. Support the senior instructor in developing and implementing an outreach plan for the renewable energy course, ensuring increased participation of females and other underrepresented groups. 7. Liaise with STC Management and relevant stakeholders for proper planning, implementation, and monitoring of SMART project requirements, ensuring effective coordination across all program components. 8. Engage with Senior Instructors and Instructors to ensure the seamless integration of renewable energy components within STC’s vocational courses. 9. Coordinate student admission and enrollment efforts, including outreach events, information sessions, and application processes, to attract a diverse pool of applicants. 10. Support and facilitate coaching sessions for instructors and students, providing technical guidance and professional development support where needed. 11. Monitor and evaluate program goals and objectives, preparing reports for donors, program assessment, and continuous improvement. 12. Support the organization of the Graduation Ceremony for renewable-energy graduates, fostering connections with potential employers and industry representatives. 13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, ensuring the effective implementation and sustainability of the renewable energy program. Qualifications/special skillsBachelor's degree in the fields of Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with a focus on Renewable Energy), Energy and Environmental Engineering or related fields (a master's degree is a plus). Minimum of 5 years of experience in Renewable energy; out of these experience in Microsoft Office tools and delivering capacity building. LanguagesFluency in spoken and written English and Arabic. Skills and Competencies a. Previous experience in project’s coordination and related administrative roles. b. Familiarity with academic policies, procedures, and accreditation standards. c. Excellent organizational and time management skills. d. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. e. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. f. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Desirable Qualifications a. Master's degree is a plus. b. Academic or personal coaching experience Conditions of Service Total consultancy fees: 15,184.35 USD – disbursed in monthly installments upon completion of assignments (including indemnities of 8.33%) Contract Duration: 09 Months from 01 July 2025 to 31 March 2026 (extendable according to performance and availability of funds) Duty station: The incumbent will be located in UNRWA-Siblin Training Center (Siblin, Saida), with frequent travel also to the north campus.
