Overall purpose of the role: As the Radio Operator you answer directly to Supervisor Ops, and primary task is to keep radio room manned, see below for breakdown of job description.

Responsibilities:

List all call signs that will be out on the ground with locations. Conduct radio checks to ALL call signs before teams leave the FOB. Maintain a constant listen and watch of the net. Log all radio communications. Conduct radio checks every hour to all call signs on the ground. Monitor all team movements. Inform Security/OM/PM of any incidents that has occurred in the field ASAP. Pass/Coordinate information from one call sign to another. Monitor the usage of all radio traffic and that correct voice procedure (VP) is being used. Any other tasks giving to you by your line manager.

Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)

Diploma or Bachelor degree. Vocational training in electronics, telecommunication, IT or similar field an asset. Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic Very good computer skills Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment Good analytical skills Good communication

Education: (include certificates, licenses etc.)

Good experience with communication devices Good experience in simulation and calling out

Languages: (indicate fluency level)

Arabic - Native English – Basic
