Job Overview:
The Psychosocial Support Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing community, family and focused support interventions that help humanitarian entrant populations, including refugees, asylum seekers, asylees and others, cope with the impact of social, emotional and psychological stressors. Reporting to the health and wellness supervisor, they will promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma associated with mental health and psychosocial support services (MHPSS). They will coordinate regular psychosocial and peer support groups and facilitate effective connections to supportive counseling and clinical therapy.
Major Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify individual and community needs and strengths Develop and implement plans and interventions for addressing identified needs Provide individual and family supportive counseling enhance psychosocial well-being Facilitate support groups for individuals and communities Train and advise other colleagues who will serve as support group facilitators Collaborate with other service providers to ensure comprehensive support Develop and maintain accurate case records and reports Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge Other duties as assignedJob Requirements:

Standard office working environment with regular local travel within the service delivery area May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.Compensation: (Pay Range: $31.00-$32.90) Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
