Specific responsibilitiesย
- Carry out CSP activities and strategy in line with NRC guidelines and tools, including conducting assessment, facilitating the core CSP training, following up on and facilitating community action plans. This includes provision of psychosocial support and referrals, as needed.
- Report internally to the Protection Coordinator (CSP) daily, weekly and monthly workplan, achievements and challenges.
- Maintain CSP files with accuracy and confidentiality, including regularly updating community databases and other relevant protection information management tools.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers.
- Prepare procurement or payment requests for material assistance in-line with case plans and ensure project documents are collected and saved offline and online using Office 365, OneDrive and SharePoint in line with project agreements.
- Participate in mapping exercises and assessments aimed at identifying protection risks, locations, and needs of vulnerable populations by using participatory data collection tools and methodologies.
- Identify barriers to access services, document and report on them.
Other
- Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security in the field; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to the Protection PM and Coordinator and liaising with external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment.
- Participate in needs assessments, field support visit and emergency response efforts, as needed.
- Undertake any other reasonable task assigned by management.
Generic professional competencies:ย
- At least two years of professional experience in the humanitarian sector with international organizations.ย
- At least two years' experience implementing social work, community engagement, human rights, or related degree preferred, knowledge of human rights and protection.ย
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity, and flexibility.
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:ย
Strong understanding of basic counselling and psychosocial support concepts; previous training in these areas strongly preferred Understands rights and protection issues of target populations; experience working with affected populations is an advantage.
