Location: Eastern Samar, Philippines (Fieldwork Required)
About the Project:
Plan International Pilipinas is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable populations. We are currently implementing the \"Gender-Responsive Systems Approach to Universal Health Care (GRASP-UHC)\" project, aimed at enhancing the capacity of Local Government Units (LGUs) to provide affordable and equitable access to healthcare. This project is a collaborative effort with The Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF), Unitรฉ de santรฉ internationale de l'Universitรฉ de Montrรฉal (USI-UdeM), and local civil society organizations.
About the Opportunity:
We seek a dedicated and experienced Project Officer - Reliever for a short-term, 3-month assignment to provide frontline support to the GRASP-UHC project. You will be vital in mobilizing community participation and facilitating community-level activities to improve health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement: Work closely with project specialists to implement quality community-level activities and build stakeholder ownership.
- Participatory Analysis: Lead community-level participatory situational analysis and consultations to identify and address local health challenges.
- Stakeholder Mobilization: Mobilize the participation of project stakeholders, ensuring their meaningful input throughout the project lifecycle.
- Capacity Building: Design and facilitate capacity-building activities for children, families, LGU personnel, and other UHC stakeholders based on identified needs.
- Participatory Planning: Facilitate local participation in planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation (SAPIME) using inclusive and gender-transformative approaches.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive community-level reports.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Social Work, Community Development, Health-related discipline, Social Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing programs at the community level, with at least 2 years in health-related projects/programs.
- Strong knowledge of community development, partnership and stakeholder engagement, networking, advocacy, data gathering, documentation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of childrenโs rights, government health programs, community-based health systems, health governance, gender equality, and inclusion.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic team.
- Ability and willingness to conduct fieldwork in project areas.
- Must be a Filipino national based in the Philippines.
