About the Job
To provide a point of reference and a focal point for all matters related to integrated Protection-Economic Recovery actions. In particular, to act as case coordinator and be accountable for the implementation of action plans for survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) which include both protection and livelihood support interventions.
To support DRCโs Economic Recovery team in implementing program measures aimed at mainstreaming protection into program design and implementation.
Sector responsibilities: Advocacy for the rights of displaced people in their context of displacement, individual protection assistance and general case management, legal aid, GBV case management and prevention, awareness raising, vocational skills training, wage and self-employment.
This role has a field office focus and ensures compliance to DRC procedures and guidelines within the area. The role contributes to the development of country strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Integrated Program Support
Support case management and community-based protection teams in protection case identification, assessment and referral to the appropriate protection team Support in and lead on counselling protection cases, including development of action plans, advice on next steps in the case management process, and referrals Where needed and together with the case management team, identify possible courses of action with the client Research individual cases and identify possible courses of action together with the client, interpret and explain procedures and documentation, and assist in filling relevant documents for their case Facilitate and support the conduct of risk, vulnerability and skills assessment Act as focal point for all inter-departmental (i.e: between protection and Economic Recovery) referrals; guide clients about available economic recovery services, pre-assess clients livelihoods objectives in light of the available economic recovery services, centralize all data pertaining to inter-departmental referrals, follow up on individual action points, report regularly on individual case progress to relevant people within protection and economic recovery teams, ensuring client data confidentiality throughout the process Ensure that the referred individuals will receive timely delivery of livelihood assistance resulting to actual job placement and or starting a business at the end of the project Hold regular case review meetings with relevant people from protection and economic recovery teams Ensure the maintenance and regular update of case databases and other relevant trackers; Input into case-management data-bases and update case files in conjunction with Case- management team Contribute to monthly, quarterly and yearly project reporting; Provide accurate reporting to M&E and Grants teams as needed Track beneficiary enrolment, attendance and drop out for economic recovery services in coordination with economic recovery team Participate in regular program monitoring visits and contribute development of field monitoring reports pertaining the status and satisfaction of beneficiaries. Ensure close coordination with MEAL department regarding monitoring and evaluation activities and coordination between DRC MEAL Department and implementing partner. Take the role of information dissemination based on the needs.Protection Mainstreaming
With support from the Protection Coordinator, develop an action plan for mainstreaming protection within DRCโs Economic Recovery program; Regularly assess and report on the action plan progress; suggest solutions to challenges and provide support where needed; With support from the Protection Coordinator, ensure โ through trainings where necessary - that non-Protection staff are informed and trained on mainstreaming measures and safe programming; in particular conflict sensitivity, do no harm, equitable participation and inclusion; and accountability to beneficiaries.About you
To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelorโs degree in social sciences or related fields.

Minimum 2 years of practical experience in sector area working for an INGO Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Advanced Arabic and English proficiency Fluency in Turkish language highly desirable Experience working in the humanitarian field (preferably experience from southern Turkey) Experience in protection activities Experience in Economic Recovery and/or Livelihoods a strong asset Experience working with Syrian refugees Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment Ability to multi-task and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines Flexibility, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn from othersPreferred experience and competencies
