Where you come in:

Save the Children is forming a six-member Response and Recovery Team to support communities in Shefa Province affected by the 17 December earthquake through education, cash and voucher assistance, child protection, and psychosocial support. As the Project Officer - Response and Recovery, you will lead the education and psychosocial components of Save the Childrenโ€™s recovery project, which includes supporting schools to restore education services through classroom rehabilitation and delivering psychosocial support to children, teachers, and communities affected by the earthquake.

You will make an impact by:

Education Recovery:

Collaborate with Ministry of Education and partners for classroom rehabilitation.

Ensure timely distribution of teaching materials to affected schools.

Support school leaders in safe school reopening plans and emergency preparedness messaging.

Child Protection and Psychosocial Support (PSS):

Lead Child Protection and PSS activities aligned with global standards.

Develop and deliver capacity-building sessions for facilitators and community leaders.

Oversee creation and distribution of resources promoting safety, mental health, and resilience.

Partner with organizations to deliver specialized PSS services through subgrants.

Coordination and Partnerships:

Collaborate with stakeholders to align efforts with national recovery plans.

Oversee education rebuild infrastructure projects.

Engage communities in program planning and advocate for inclusive education.
