BACKGROUND

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances childrenโ€™s rights and equality for girls. In Indonesia, Plan International operates since 1969, and in 2017 Yayasan Plan International Indonesia (YPII) was established as a national entity of Plan International in Indonesia. YPII is currently implementing its Country Strategy 5 (CS 5) covering the fiscal year 2023 to 2027, where the countryโ€™s purpose is in line with the global Plan Internationalโ€™s Purpose โ€œto advance childrenโ€™s rights and equality for girlsโ€. Our ambition is to enable at least 3 million girls and young women to learn (gain skills for work), lead (empower to take action on issues that matter to them), decide (have control over their own lives and bodies), and thrive (grow healthy and protected from violence). It means that we will take action to identify and facilitate the removal of obstacles that prevent children, especially girls, and young women from enjoying their rights and participating fully in Indonesian society. This goal will be achieved by implementing quality programmes and projects as well as influencing decision-makers and key stakeholders to make the required changes.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Project Coordinator responsible for certain project under partner and Plan`s responsibility focus planning, implementation and monitoring at the district level. Will proactively work to influence, support and capacitate partnership, local government department in certain program at the district and provincial level. Engage in advocacy, networking and coordination in the district and province, and ensuring children and young people particularly girls and women are benefiting from the project.

DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE

Responsible manage networking partnership for certain project planning, implementation and monitoring evaluation at the district and province. Will proactively work to influence, support and capacitate partnership and local government department in certain program at the district level. Engage in advocacy, networking and coordination in the district and province, and ensuring children and young people particularly girls and women are benefiting from the project.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Responsible to Managing Partnership on Project Planning and design.

Conduct partnership selection for situation assessment through issues analysis, capacity/resources, access, opportunity and support Prepare draft Detail Implementation Planning (DIP) of his/her respective project Responsibility at district level in line with Country Strategic (CS5) and Plan`s Theory of Change (TOC) Design Project planning and budget based on CS5 and DIP Integrate CS5 and DIP plans with those of the district to encourage synergies with other initiative such as Village budget, SDGs and Child Friendly City (KLA) Develop annual work plan based on CS5 with regarding DIP (activities, time line, person in charge, and partnership) Communicate the result of CS5 and annual work plan DIP to partner and all stake holders to synergize resources Responsible Input planning in SAP and maintain it is accurate and up to date

2. Responsible to Managing Partnership on Project Implementation.

Develop Project Outline (PO) at district level Conduct coordination meeting with partnership and stakeholders (formal and in formal) Identify and agree about role and responsibility each parties Identify resources, including partnership if necessary Coordinate and collaboration with partner, including review proposal and document of partners (administration) Lobbying and advocacy for strengthen duty bearerโ€™s support, and institutionalized program in policy of duty bearerโ€™s and synergizing Plan program with government`s initiative such as Village budget, SDGs and KLA Reviewing of report and action plan of partner

3. Responsible to Managing Partnership on Project Monitoring and Evaluation.

Support SAP & Data Management Coordinator, develop monitoring mechanism, tools of project monitoring. In collaboration with SAP and Data Management Coordinator, prepare baseline data Conduct monitoring to ensure accountability, quality and quantity using instrument/tools and mechanism has determined in DIP Input SAP and maintain it is accurate and up to date Documenting and reporting to Project Manager, SAP and Data Management and Country Office Project Team Facilitate learning process of internal development at village, CBO and related stakeholderโ€™s forum Support Country Office Program team in project evaluation Scaling up best practices Disseminating project monitoring and evaluation

4. Networking with Other project / department at district and provincial level

Collaboration with other project coordinator in district level in order to increase Planโ€™s reputation Support Plan`s district representative with projectโ€™s data and information and any important information to strengthen Plan`s position on dealing with government and other stakeholder.

5. Dealing with Problems.

The job holder needs to solve problems on operational constrains of the assigned program/projects and sponsorship communication The job holder needs to set/establishes procedures for smooth implementation of the activities and influences other persons at Program and District team. Take proactive stances in identifying and resolving conflicts among program teams and implementing partners; negotiate, motivate and supports drawing win-win outcomes.

6. Safeguarding Children and Young People (PSHEA)

Carry out safeguarding principles in every planning process, making risk mitigation analysis, implementation, documentation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting within the project. Conduct behaviour that reflect of professionalism, a culture of protection, prevention of violence, and the attitude to have the courage to report any form of violence against children and program participants and participate in regular evaluations through the Annual Appraisal related to safeguarding with supervisors Completely in face-to-face induction and/or Safeguarding training and refresher training through the Plan Academy platform and promptly recertify. Collaboration with partner, vendor /consultant in implement safeguarding standard and well monitored

Experience and Knowledge

Bachelor degree related field, minimum five years experiences in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of a specific program area. Location: Based at Sumbawa, Nusa Tenggara Barat with at least 30% travel to government offices, projects areas, and partner organization.
