Under the overall supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator (Economic Recovery & LMI) in IOM Tรผrkiye and direct supervision of the MECR National Officer; and, in collaboration with the LMI unit and other relevant support units within the mission, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for supporting the implementation of the NC0165 M-MPTF-funded project on โSupporting Migrantsโ Inclusion in Tรผrkiyeโs Transition to A Green Economyโ in Gaziantep Sub-Office.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.ย
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget-related information.ย
- Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation, involving extensive liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest remedial actions.
- Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentation and other forms of documentation.ย
- Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records; organize meetings, workshops and training sessions;ย
- Participate in meetings and conferences; assist in coordinating implementation activities withย local authorities, partners, United Nations agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the project.ย
- Assist in monitoring the work of implementing partners and report non-compliances to the supervisor.
- Provide guidance/training to new/junior staff.ย
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Education
- School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelorโs degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Economics, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience. ย Experience
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.ย Skills
- In-depth knowledge of the broad range of migration-related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
- Prior experience of working with MSMEs,
- Knowledge in the areas of climate change, green transition, circular economy, and sustainable development (is desirable)
- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.

- Fluency in English and Turkish (oral and written). IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
