ย Contextย
Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Project Officer and in close coordination with relevant units at the Country Office, the successful candidate will support the implementation of protection programming by providing administrative support including supporting individualized case management to vulnerable migrants and victims of trafficking.ย
Conduct intake interviews, needs assessments, risk evaluation, and follow-up for Cambodian and foreign vulnerable migrants and victims of trafficking; apply IOMโs vulnerability model to assist migrants exposed to violence, exploitation, or abuse.
Provide individualized case management and Coordinate the provision of humanitarianย
assistance to vulnerable migrants with implementing partners, service providers, and local authorities including access to safe shelter, healthcare, psychosocial support, and reintegration services.
Maintain regular communication with migrants to ensure understanding of procedures and readiness for each stage; Engage in trust-building and adapted communication strategies to foster safe environments for disclosure and support.
Support engagement with civil society actors through regular contact, organizing consultations, meetings and information exchange.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor.ย
- Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.ย
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Education
- School diploma with three years of relevant experience; or,
Bachelorโs degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience
Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.ย Skills
- In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
- Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.Languages
