ย Context Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission in Cambodia and the direct supervision of the National Project Officer of the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMI) Unit, the Project Assistant is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects under the LMI Unit. The role focuses on providing administrative, logistical, and data management support to ensure that project activities are carried out in accordance with IOM policies and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information.ย ย
- Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor.ย
- Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other forms of documentation.ย
- Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.ย
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Education
- School diploma with four years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelorโs degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experienceย working on projects related to labour migration, skills development,ย referral to employment opportunities,ย ethicalย recruitment practicesย and social development;ย
- Experience in project implementation, monitoring and evaluation and organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, trainings and events;
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.ย Skills

- Fluency in English and Khmer areย required (oral and written). IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
