Under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Assistant (PxD) and overall supervision of the Head of Migrant Protection (PxD), the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting day to day implementation of activities of the protection unit particularly โAustralian Government Anti-People Smuggling Communication Campaignโ project.ย
1.ย ย ย ย Support the project team in organizing socio-cultural and awareness raising activities.
2.ย ย ย ย Support project team in the procurement process to implement project activites in timely manner including raising Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and related administrative tasks
3.ย ย ย ย Support the administrative coordination amongst colleagues, units and external stakeholders, in close consultation with the supervisor.
4.ย ย ย ย Assist with compiling regular progress updates contributing to project related reports.ย
5.ย ย ย ย Support to prepare relevant documentation (attendance sheet, agenda, meeting minutes in English, Bengali, and local languages as required).
6.ย ย ย ย Assist in drafting targeted communications and outreach materials (IEC, BCC Materials) on safe and regular migration, Human Trafficking and Smuggling ย
7.ย ย ย ย Assist with organizing meetings, workshops, events with various stakeholders within the framework of the project/ unit
8.ย ย ย ย Assist with contributing to drafting reports and other project related documents, including contributing to donor reports and preparing meeting minutes and notes on activity status.ย
9.ย ย ย ย Undertake duty travel within the country to support project operations.ย
10.ย ย ย ย Perform other duties as may be assigned by the and /or Senior Management
Education
โข ย ย ย ย High School diploma with three years of relevant professional experience, or
โข ย ย ย ย Bachelorโs degree in social science, Public Administration, Economics, International Relations, or a related field with relevant training and one year experience in project implementation.
ย Experience
โข ย ย ย ย At least 1 year of professional experience (or 3 years for candidates with school diploma) with a government, non-government, or international organization in the implementation and/or support of implementation of development projects.ย
โข ย ย ย ย Prior working experience with UN agencies, INGOs, and NGOs is desired.ย
โข ย ย ย ย Experience liaising with government counterparts, UN agencies, donors.
Skills
โข ย ย ย ย Good knowledge of Human Rights and Protection; Knowledge of Counter-Trafficking is an advantage.ย
