    Lead and coordinate knowledge management activities across the IACoV Phase II project and the broader WFP Lesotho Country Strategic Plan (CSP). This strategic role will ensure that knowledge products, learning processes, and institutional memory are effectively embedded into programme design, implementation, and reporting. The candidate will ensure that the Knowledge Management strategy is regularly updated and effectively implemented in alignment with the prevailing Adaptation Fund policies, Climate Change Policy and CSP.

    To be based in Maseru and reports to Project Coordinator

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Strategic Leadership

    · Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of WFP Lesotho’s Knowledge Management (KM) strategy.

    · Ensure alignment with the Country Strategic Plan and IACoV II objectives.

    2. Planning and Coordination

    · Update and implement KM workplans in collaboration with communications, programme focal points, and government partners.

    · Coordinate joint learning activities with CO stakeholders and ensure integration of latest programmatic knowledge into training portfolios.

    3. Capacity Strengthening

    · Design and deliver functional training to enhance KM capacity among WFP staff, project teams, and government counterparts.

    · Provide technical support to MEF and MAFSN on KM systems and practices.

    4. External Engagement and Partnerships

    · Integrate KM activities into broader engagement strategies with NGOs, academia, and national institutions.

    · Support technical assistance efforts and promote adaptive learning across sectors.

    5. Content Management and Taxonomy

    · Oversee mapping and classification of content relevant to WFP, Adaptation Fund, MEF, and MAFSN.

    · Identify gaps, manage deletions, and re-tag documents using updated corporate taxonomy.

    6. Communications and Platforms

    · Collaborate with communications teams to manage newsletters and ensure consistent updates across WFP, MEF, and MAFSN platforms.

    · Coordinate content updates on WFP’s corporate website and internal platforms.

    7. Documentation and Reporting

    Consolidate project documentation including success stories, newsletters, and periodic reports.

    Ensure timely development of country briefs and donor-required publications.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Education: Advanced Degree in Information Management, Communications, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Knowledge Management, or Organizational Learning. Or first degree with added years' of experience.

    Experience: A minimum of three years of professional experience in the knowledge management field, preferably within government institutions and donor-funded projects.
