Organizational Setting

Main Purpose
Under the general supervision of the NE Programme Coordinator, the Programme Implementation Associate supports coordination and implementation of activities, initiatives, events and tasks related to planning, monitoring, assessment and reporting for Major Programme 1 โNuclear Power, Fuel Cycle and Nuclear Scienceโ, including matters related Risk Management, OIOS services and External Audits, and Peaceful Uses Initiative projects. Additionally, he/she supports the team with the operational arrangements related to the programme area, including the EB contributions process for the department in EBCAP (contribution agreements and pledge letters).

Functions / Key Results Expected
Provides support with coordination of programme planning and formulation, performance monitoring, programme assessment, evaluation and reporting, risk management (include intra-departmental training), contributing to ensure programme integrity and coherence and homogeneity of the Major Programme 1 programmes/projects.ย
Assists in analyzing overall programme delivery and collects data to facilitate programme assessment and reporting on outputs and the achievement of outcomes, assessing performance using performance indicators.ย
Assists in the inter-departmental coordination during OIOS review services as well as external audits and, under the guidance of the NE Programme Coordinator, provides updates on the relevant recommendations through the TeamCentral system.
Supports the annual progress and mid-term reporting for Peaceful Uses Initiative projects for donor Member States as well as DGO (including updates on PUI website and new proposals).
Acts as the departmental focal point for the acceptance of EB contributions, including vetting processes, preparation and dissemination of contribution agreements, pledge letters and other legal arrangements.ย

Qualifications, Experience and Language skills
High School Diploma - Completed secondary education.
Minimum six years of relevant experience. Experience in the planning, implementation, monitoring and assessment of programmes and projects in a UN context would be an advantage.
Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Remuneration
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at EUR 68788 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), 6 weeks' annual vacation, pension plan and health insurance.
