Project support and research (50%)ย
1. Collect, compile, collate data and information, provide initial assessment in the review of policies, schemes, and other operational information on labour mobility and social inclusionย through document reviews, relevant material and presentation development, meeting/webinar participation among others.
2.ย Provide support to stakeholder engagement and collaboration activities, distribute timely and accurate information to government counterparts, local partners (e.g., RHQ, NGOs, UN agencies, private sector, training institutes), and relevant IOM missions to support AVRR, CT, labour mobility and social inclusion, and resettlement activities.
3.ย Assist in preparing advocacy materials, presentations, policy briefs, and reports to raise awareness among stakeholders, government counterparts, and the public.
4.ย Engage proactively with local partners and community representatives to encourage positive narratives and greater understanding ofย labourย mobilityย and social inclusion.
5.ย Monitor current issues, trends, and developments in migration and social inclusion, providing timely updates and recommendations to the Programme Manager and team members for informed advocacy interventions.
Case Management and Field Support (50%)
6. Undertake caseย management activities, casework interviews, manage files for case intake and follow-ups, and assist the coordination with relevant agencies to ensure effective services for beneficiaries.
7. Provide support to case data management activities includingย case files management, manageย beneficiariesย case files,ย medical and other records, including, if assigned, verifying the creation of new case files in MiMOSA, the timely and accurate distribution of case files, that all returned files are promptly filed, that the file tracking system is used to keep comprehensive track of files.
8.ย Support departure, transit, and arrival logistics for beneficiaries, including organizing transportation, assisting with documentation and airport procedures, conducting pre-departure briefings, and addressing travel issues or special needs as required.
9. In coordination with the Programme Associate, liaise as needed with other teams and units in the officeย and otherย missions. Provide regular reports on the work being accomplished to theย Programme Manager and team members.ย
10. Undertake duty travel as needed toย conductย casework interviews, airport operations, and pre-departure supports.
11. Perform suchย other duties as may be assigned.
Education
- Completed secondary education required. ย Experience
- Five years of working experience with secondary education; three years of working experience with Bachelorโs degree
- Thorough knowledge of English
- Ability to use own initiative and work under pressure with minimum supervision Skills
- Excellent computer skills - Word, Excel and Internet
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to organize
- Self-motivated and objective driven Languages
- For this position, fluency in English and Japanese is required (oral and written).
- Working knowledge of other languages (Tagalog, Thai, and Spanish) is an advantage. IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
