Job Title: Program Manager for Content Development and Resilient Health Systems
Reports to: Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Quality and Health Systems Strengthening
Location: Employees in this role can work from our Boston, MA office, remotely within the U.S., or hybrid of these two options with 10% international travel
Position Type: Full-time (12 months, temporary, with potential to extend)
Position Overview:
The Program Manager for Content Development and Resilient Health Systems (Program Manager) is a key member of the clinical Quality and Health Systems Strengthening (QHSS) team within Partners In Healthโs (PIH) U.S. Coordination Site Theory of Change (TOC) branch and will focus on equipping community leaders with the skills and knowledge to design and implement effective health interventions and policies. The Program Manager will collaborate with key implementing PIH collaborators, including the University of Global Health Equity and Aspen Global Innovators Group, to create engaging and relevant content and establish strong coaching and mentoring of leaders involved in the Global Academy for Health Systems Resilience (Global Academy) and other QHSS leadership programs. The Program Manager also fosters a learning and collaboration network among the leaders, aiming to engineer strategies to enhance health systems resilience at PIH-supported countries and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Content development (50%)
- Develop high-quality content for the Global Academy modules, covering community engagement, health system strengthening, pandemic preparedness and response, and policy advocacy.
- Use online learning platforms, tools, and methodologies to create interactive and learner-centered content that meets the needs and preferences of the participants.
- Review, update, and improve existing content based on participant, mentor, coach, and partner feedback.
- Ensure that the content is aligned with the program objectives, outcomes, and indicators.
- Coordinate with the Clinical and Health Systems Leadership Team and the faculty members to ensure consistency and coherence across the modules.
Management and coordination (40%)
- Manage routine clinical quality and health systems accompaniment meetings with participants, mentors, coaches, partners, and PIH staff.
- Manage the implementation of the QHSS accompaniment strategy, explicitly focusing on formalizing the QHSS community of practice, supporting quality improvement champions, and expanding partnership opportunities.
- Ensure a close follow-up on current QHSS projects across PIH and provide routine feedback.
- Track and disseminate clinical implementation and research grant opportunities with key colleagues and support the development of concept notes.
- Support the clinical Quality and Health Systems Strengthening (QHSS) team throughout the design and implementation of essential skills and expertise in clinical program development and evaluation and continuous clinical quality improvement.
- Coordinate across the U.S. Coordination Site TOC branch in partnership with care delivery sites through the design, implementation, and monitoring of clinical quality and implementation research.
Evidence dissemination (10%)
- Create, update, and disseminate quality improvement projects through regular reports and implementation spotlights.
- Support the development of impact statements and other resources needed for internal and external clinical partnership and development purposes.
- Conduct literature reviews and create materials for speaking engagements and other writing for communications and advocacy.
- Organize and co-facilitate knowledge and skills transfer through workshops, webinars, and exchange series.
- In collaboration with Clinical leads and the Strategic Information Systems team, develop and manage clinical and QHSS data visualization systems using Microsoft Power BI and other platforms to capture and report quality management and quality improvement projects.
ยท Manage the design and dissemination of QHSS best practices and impact through spotlights, infographics, and other innovative strategies to capture and disseminate lessons from the field.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs or masterโs degree in public health, global health, health policy, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of relevant job experience
- Experience in curriculum content development, health systems strengthening, quality improvement, or a similar role in a global health setting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Proficiency in other languages is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams across different time zones.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools methodologies.
- Interest in social justice strongly desirable
