Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position is assigned in the Culture and Talent Division (BPCT), within the Budget, People, and Management Systems Department (BPMSD). BPMSD provides operational support to ADB on areas of position management, recruitment and selection, HR business partnering, HR operations administration including HR systems and analytics, reward management, talent management, learning and development, and ADB budget management. BPCT is responsible for the design and implementation of strategic HR initiatives such as talent management, performance management, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and learning and development.
The incumbent will report to Director, BPCT and/or Designated International Staff and will oversee Junior team members.
Your Role
As a Principal Human Resource Officer, you will perform a critical role to lead and manage the review, design, and implementation of BPCT initiatives and programs, such as short-term assignments, assessments, talent reviews, and mobility programs. You will provide HR technical knowledge and best practices, lead and manage the initiatives and programs, manage associated stakeholders, and lead and supervise other BPCT project team members. The role will also support the management of the Division's annual budget.
You will: - Develop project plans for BPCT initiatives and programs, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
You will need:
Master's degree, or equivalent, in Human Resources, Social Sciences and other related discipline or Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years specialized experience relevant to the position can be considered. At least 10 years of relevant experience preferably in development institutions, international organizations, private or public institutions or consultancies, and at least 6 years of supervisory experience. Familiarity working in a multicultural environment. Proven experience in project management, preferably in HR. Strong analytical and research skills Creativity, dynamism, and ability to take the initiative are important traits for this role Proficiency in Excel and strong familiarity with databases and information systems Excellent English verbal and written communication skills Please refer to the link for ADB Competency for Technical Local Staff level 7.Benefits
